Privacy notice

Version 2026-10-draft-2 · For parents, guardians and learners

KasiRise Scholar is a maths tutoring app for learners in Grades 6 to 9, run by myKasi360 NPC (registration 2022/314419/08). This notice explains what information the app holds, why, who handles it, and how you control it. Because the learners are children, nothing happens until a parent or guardian has read this notice and given consent.

Who is responsible

myKasi360 NPC decides how learner information is used and is responsible for it. Transformer Business Labs (Pty) Ltd builds and runs the app for myKasi360 and may only use the information to provide the service.

Questions or requests: info@mykasi360.org.

Information Officer: Sylvester Molokoane, Managing Director. Deputy Information Officer: Mishack Nkabinde, Director, Legal Compliance. Because Sylvester also leads Transformer Business Labs, any concern about how Transformer Business Labs handles information goes to Mishack.

What we hold

About the learnerName, grade, school, sign-in email or phone number; questions and answers in tutoring sessions; photos of written work, if you allow them; diagnostic and challenge scores; progress (topics covered, areas to strengthen, streaks and points); draft scholarship essays and olympiad letters, if you allow them.
About youYour name, your relationship to the learner, your verified cellphone number and your sign-in email, and a record of each consent you give or withdraw.

What you consent to

You choose each of these separately, and you can change any of them later from your dashboard.

TutoringYour child uses the tutor, the diagnostic and the challenges, and we keep their progress. Needed for the app to work.
AI processingYour child's messages, and photos if allowed, are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, to produce the tutor's replies. Anthropic's servers are in the United States. Needed for the app to work.
Photo uploadsYour child can photograph their written work for the tutor to look at.
ApplicationsThe app drafts scholarship essays and olympiad entry letters from your child's progress. A myKasi360 mentor reads and approves every draft before it is used.
Share linksmyKasi360 can send an approved essay to a school through a private link that expires after 30 days. Switching this off cancels any existing links.

If you withdraw one of the two needed consents, your child's account is paused until you give it again.

Who else handles it

Sending information outside South Africa is allowed under section 72 of the Protection of Personal Information Act when you consent to it, which is why it is one of the consents above. We do not sell learner information, and we do not use it to train any AI model.

How long we keep it

We keep your child's information while their account is in use. If the account is not used for 12 months, we will let you know, and delete everything 30 days later unless you ask us to keep it. You can delete everything yourself at any time from your dashboard.

Your rights

From your dashboard you can see your consents and change them, correct your child's details, download everything we hold about your child, and delete it all, including their sign-in. Deletion cannot be undone. We keep only a note that a deletion happened, not who it was about.

If you are unhappy with how we handle information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes in a way that affects what you agreed to, we will ask you to read it and consent again.
